 Iqama Renewal Fees From 01 January 2020

Company’s more than 50% of the Employees are Saudi Nationals, 
Iqama renewal fee of their expat labors as follows

Work permit fee: 8,400 SR (700 SR / Month) 
MOI Fee: 650 SR

If more than 50% of the total Employees are Expatriates, then the fee will be

Work permit fee: 9,600 SR (800 SR / Month) 
MOI fee: 650 SR

Indian airports limits gold for NRI



Know limit of gold can carry in India without custom duty fee


As of the official rules,
  • Male passenger can carry Gold in the form of jewelry of a value up to Rs. 5000 which comes to an approximate weight of 20 grams
  • Female passenger can carry Gold in the form of jewelry of a value up to Rs. 1 Lakh which comes to an approximate weight of 40 grams
The above is for duty free, meaning no customs clearance charges.
However, the maximum gold carried by a person is 1 kg only (includes biscuits), subject to customs duty of 10.3% . The customs will charge duty based on the gold rate on the date of travel as notified to them by the Government

 Fines for Sheltering Hajj/Umrah people or assisting them to stay illegally in the country


•  If the violator is an expatriate resident, his fines are 10,000 S.R., or one month imprisonment, or both along with the termination of his Iqama and deporting him.

•  If the violator is a citizen, his fines in the first instance are 10,000 S.R. and minimum two weeks imprisonment. For the second instance, his fines are 20,000 S.R. and 1 month imprisonment. Third instance fines are 30,000 S.R. and three months imprisonment.

•  Fines are multiplied according to the number of individuals involved.

•  If the citizen wasn't able to pay his fines, he shall be imprisoned for an interval between 1 to 6 months.

•  Publish the violator's penalty in the local press with the judgment thereon according to the censure instructions.

•  In case of renting a residence to the overstayer, the renter shall be considered a violator. He shall submit a pledge which shall be kept for future reference. If violation repeated, the housing unit shall be closed for six months, and for one year in the second violation and in the third instance the closure will be for two years.

•  In the first instance, Saudi violator's age and health condition shall be considered for imprisonment duration, evidenced by attested documents.

If more than 50% of the total Employees are Expatriates, then the fee will be

Work permit fee: 7,200 SR ( 600 SR / Month)
 MOI fee: 650 SR

Saudi Arabia New amendments in labor law, prevents employers from keeping passports, IDs of staff

Saudi Arabia New amendments in labor law 2019 

Employers will no longer to keep the Passports,Iqama & Health Insurance card of their employees.

 According to amendments, companies will have to correct their violations within 10 days, instead of 30 days and should pay fines imposed on them within 60 days, instead of 15 days.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development also warned that it will suspend all its services to violators who will not pay their fines and fix the issue in time.

And also new amendments inculcated a situation where an employee may be fired without receiving his ESB or End of Service Benets in below conditions. 

  • If the worker is absent from work for 15 days or 30 not continuous days during a year
  • If the worker physically attacks a colleague at work or verbally attacks a manager or superior even by electronic way.
